Step 1: Change your Mind
You’re a smart person, and chances are, you already know a few things you could be doing differently to improve your health. You’ve read books, you’ve tried different plans, and to some degree got results. You just didn’t stick to it.
This time is going to be different because we’re going to focus on the most important piece of the puzzle: and that’s your mindset. We’re going to do a mindset shift to set yourself up for lasting success, for a stronger, healthier you.
Step 2. Build Foundational Habits
Now that you’re in the right mindset for change, it’s time to take action. Now we do get to look at your eating rhythm, eating habits, your relationship with food, and, yes, what’s in your pantry.
We’re going to learn the basics of how to read food labels, and how to choose foods that are going to fuel your body and work with your body, instead of against it.
We’re also going to make the shift from viewing food as an ‘on the run’ or ‘convenience’ item and start planning out our meals. I’ll show you quick and easy ways to plan, grocery shop and put together nourishing meals that can actually save time and money. Remember, we’re making it a lifestyle. Let’s keep it simple!
Step 3. Fuel your Body
This is the nuts and bolts of ‘what to eat’.
Your body is remarkable and it adjusts to compensate for the environment it’s in, the foods we feed ourselves, how you workout, your lifestyle and your habits. If you haven’t been taking care of yourself, and fuelling your body with energizing foods, your body has likely adjusted so that you feel ‘meh’… okay, and that overwhelming urge for caffeine or a hit of sugar at 2PM feels normal.
Here’s where we turn things around. We’re going to start to listen to your body and give it the nutrition it needs not just to survive, but to thrive.
We’re also going to go through nutrition basics so that you understand how your body processes and uses different foods, and ultimately why eating a Snickers bar is different than eating a handful or almonds.
Once your body resets and starts to get the nutrition it needs, you’re going to notice a big difference in your energy levels. You’re going to experience a whole new normal.
