Tanja Shaw
BScKin Kinesiologist, Health Coach & Owner

Tanja is a health coach and Nutritional Therapy Practitioner. She is passionate about helping others make a true lifestyle transformation so they can get back to feeling GOOD and fully participate in life. When she’s not creating programs, writing or podcasting, you can find Tanja exploring BC on foot and paddle board with her family, running, or creating something delicious in the kitchen.

Spencer Lockert
BKin Kinesiologist + Health Coach

Spencer first became aware of the field of Kinesiology following a serious knee injury. The rehabilitation and recovery process piqued his interest, leading Spencer to enroll at the University of the Fraser Valley, where he completed his Kinesiology degree.

Daniel
Daniel Cryderman
BKin Kinesiologist + Health Coach

Daniel was born and raised in Chilliwack, loves the outdoors, and enjoys hiking and camping. He has always had a passion for exercise and living a healthy lifestyle. It’s his belief that health is more than just being thin; it’s having the confidence and the ability to try new things, explore new places, and get out of your comfort zone to accomplish things you never thought you’d be able to.

Tanya Oliver

Tanya has always been involved in and had a passion for athletics and physical activity. Her previous gymnastics coaching experience gives her an understanding of the dedication necessary to execute and succeed at fitness goals.

 

Kayla
Kayla Van Egdom
BCRPA Personal Trainer + Health Coach

Kayla is BCRPA certified Personal Trainer certification and is a Mind Body Eating Coach through the Institute for the Psychology of Eating. She has maintained over forty pounds of weight loss, discovered a passion for distance running and has become comfortable with being a work in progress.

Sarah Veerman
BSc Kin Kinesiologist + Health Coach
Sarah was born and raised in Abbotsford. Growing up, her parents always encouraged her to be involved in sports.  Growing up, she played soccer and continued to play throughout her Bachelors Honors Degree in kinesiology on the varsity soccer team at Redeemer University College in Hamilton, Ontario.

Chase McKenzie
BSc Kin Kinesiologist + Health Coach

Chase McKenzie grew up in Abbotsford with an enduring passion for all things sport, playing hockey and rugby as a youth. In his later years of high school he developed a passion for long distance running which eventually propelled him to seek out an education in exercise science. He graduated from University of the Fraser Valley in 2015.

Client Care Specialist

Donna has years of experience in the administrative field.  She enjoys running, getting together with
friends and spending time with her children.

She was very excited to find the position at Ascend Fitness + Lifestyle. The
position allows her to incorporate the work she excels at, her love of people and her lifelong passion for
health and fitness into one amazing opportunity! She hopes to be able to help you with whatever she
can to make your journey with the Ascend Fitness Family an enjoyable and successful one!

I joined Ascend this year in hopes I would finally stop 30 years of very unhealthy eating habits and the dangerous cycle of weight gain and loss.  Not only have I lost 40 pounds, but for the first time in 30 years, I am learning balance, learning what healthy eating looks like and how to be consistent and disciplined. I am SO thankful to Ascend and seriously see it as an answer to my prayers for “Help” after so many hopeless years.
